Bloomfield guesthouse owners talk about how busy Blackpool used to get in the 1950s - visitors might find themselves sharing a room, or even a bed, with strangers!

Stories and memories from people living in Bloomfield.  The stories were collected at a reminiscence session in August 2008 and written down and illustrated by a member of the reminiscence group.

Frank, a local resident, recalls a conversation with his mother-in-law Barbara, about the Ibbison Street/Central Drive area in the 1950s and 60s, and why it used to be jokingly known as “Lavender Walk”.
