STOP PRESS: Sat 9th May 2009, St Peter’s Church Hall, Lytham Road, 1.30 to 3.30 pm

Come to a free fun day for all the family, to celebrate the launch of the ‘Bloomfield Talks’ book!

There will be free refreshments; live music; and children’s activities including face-painting, a bird-of-prey handler, and games with prizes. New artwork on display will include fantastic documentary photography by Yannick Dixon, and a walk-in audio installation by Vik with voices and ambient sounds recorded across the whole project and specially mixed for listening.

At 2pm, there will be a History Walk by writer and historian Terry Regan. Lasting about an hour, it’s sure to be very popular, so booking is essential. For adults and children over 12. Call Simon on 01978 780540 to book.

The Right Honourable The Mayor, Councillor Mary Smith will launch the book. She’s been a great supporter of the project from the start, and was delighted to see that she knows many of the people, events and places that appear in the book. It’ll be lovely to have her again!
